Concours d' Elegance // 6.7.2015
Concours d' Elegance & Exotic Car Show in Littleton, Colorado. This year was the best yet for me, so I'll just get right into it...
Walking through the parking lot just to get to the show proper, I spotted this 991 GT3. If I were ever able to afford a 911, a standard GT3 would probably be my first choice. When it comes to engine aspiration, I love the sound of all-motor.
McLaren MP4-12C.
Ferrari Testarossa... you think the plate might be a nod to the old OutRun arcade racer series? Very cool.
Exiting the parking lot with, in contrast to my first sighting being the latest 911, a first-gen 911.
One of 50 Shelby Mustang GT350Hs in Wimbledon White.
A Ferrari 348 with some, frankly, awful looking wheels on.
Ferrari 430 Scuderia 16M
When it comes to Lamborghinis, I'm more a fan of the smaller V10 models. The Gallardo, and now (even more so) this, the Huracán. Beautiful design here.
I'll take mine in white, please!
The iconic Diablo VT. Ah, those memories of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit...
So nice, I had to see it twice. The insides of those tailpipes are a bit too clean for my liking, I hope it was just done for the show.
Carbed S30Z, the way it should be.
'78 Fiat 124 Spyder
'67 Alfa Romeo GTV
'68 Dodge Hemi Dart. Looking from that Alfa to this, it's quite a contrast what our two countries were building at the time.
Having been off-roading in a few of the '80s models, I've grown an appreciation for these old Broncos.
Varsity Roadster
'46 Hudson Commodore
A Charger Hellcat doesn't really need any introduction. A car hasn't caused this much of an uproar since the Veyron.
MG SA
'38 MG TA Tickford
'56 Austin Healey 100M
C5 Corvette racer for drivers lacking use of their legs. I got an interior shot the year before.
Triumph GT6
'65 Bobsy SR-3 Sports Racer
'71 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona with Competizione flares.
'64 Beach Mk4 Sports Racer
Lotus Elite
I want to say this is a Corvette Daytona Prototype, but I'm honestly not sure.
Ignite Performance just had a stellar lineup of vintage racers. Here, another S30Z.
'12 Aston Martin V8 Vantage S
'88 BMW M6
'14 BMW i8
E46 M3 with GTR hood and CSL front bumper.
Cadillac CTS-V coupe in the parking lot, visible from inside the show.
'73 Saab Sonett III
Lotus Elan
A trio of Lotus Elites, the blue car being a '62 Super 95.
Porsche Cayman GTS
3R Racing Porsche Carrera RS
'67 911, also by 3R Racing
First-gen Camaro
I loved the body work on this C3 427 Vette. The silver paint reall works to show off the curves and creases.
Shelby GT350 & GT350H racers
Porsche 356
I'm not a Shelby or CSX VIN expert, but this Cobra Daytona Coupe looks to be CSX 2131 (not to be confused with the CS 2131 Cobra roadster with Le Mans hard top). From what I gather, the story goes that CS 2131 owner John Willment was denied purchase of a Daytona coupe, so he built this one himself using a genuine Shelby chassis and the Daytona's original concept drawings that utilized a lower roof line.
Ferrari F40
'67 Ferrari 275 GTB/4
A pair of XKE/E-Type Jags
Aston V12 Vantage S Roadster
'81 Porsche 924 Carrera GTS Club Sport
'86 Porsche 928S Strosek Edition
