Story Missions
1. Give Me Liberty
After the scene, the game's controls will be displayed on-screen. It's never mentioned in this game, but your name is Claud Speed, and you'll soon learn that your partner goes by the name of 8-Ball. Get in and drive to the safehouse he has set up for you. Stop in the blue marker. After you've changed clothes, head around the block to Luigi's Sex Club 7 and you'll automatically start the next mission.
1. Luigi's Girls
Get a vehicle - any one you like. Steal if necessary, just make sure no cops are around to see or they'll try to bust you. Follow the green blip on your radar to Misty at the hospital. Stop your car next to her and she'll get in. Drive her back to Luigi's club.
Reward: $1,500
Now is a good time to get to know the city. Just get in a car and drive around - visit the hospital again, it's a useful location to memorize. There are health icons floating out front that you can pick up when you're running low. When you commit crimes, you will gain yellow 'wanted' stars at the top-right corner of your screen. The more stars you have, the harder the cops will come down on you. Reach 6 stars and they'll bring in the army, tanks and all. Fortunately, that level is not possible to reach yet; you have to unlock more of the map first. To lose heat, drive your car into a Pay-N-Spray garage to get your car resprayed and repaired of all damage, for a fee of $1,000. There's one just north of Luigi's. It's not marked on your radar yet, and your first visit is free. Another way to lose a wanted star is to walk or drive through the police bribe icons spread throughout Liberty City. They're blue circles with yellow stars in the middle. If you ever want to save your game, go to your safe house (marked on your radar by a green house icon) and walk through the door. You can store one car in the garage on the right. When you're ready, continue Luigi's mission strand, marked on your radar by an "L" icon. Just as a heads up, you'll need $100,000 for one of the last missions on this island, and $500,000 for the very last mission in the story, so try not to spend too much on things you don't really need (such as Pay-N-Sprays and unnecessary weapons).
2. Don't Spank Ma Bitch Up
After the scene, go across the street and pick up the bat. Then get in a car and drive down to Portland Harbor. There's a guy with a blue arrow over his head. The point of getting a bat was to introduce you to your weapons system (get out and equip the bat with R2/L2), but you can end the mission quick by running him over. Once he's down, take his car to the newly-marked (by an orange icon on your radar) Pay-N-Spray by Luigi's. You'll get an official description of the garage, and it's free for this mission. Now follow the radar's pink blip to Luigi's lockup and stash the car.
Reward: $4,000
3. Drive Misty For Me
Get a car and pick Misty up in Hepburn Heights. Stop in the marker and press L3 to blow your car's horn. Take her to Joey's garage in Trenton. This opens another mission strand, but first, let's finish up with Luigi.
Reward: $1,000
4. Pump-Action Pimp
First follow the radar's gun icon to Ammu-Nation, the game's gun store, and walk around back and pick up the gun. Now catch up to the pimp (pink blip) and ram his car. This will cause him to get out and fire at you. He's got a machine gun, so don't stand still too long or your car will burst into flames and explode, in which case you need to get out before the latter happens. My car did burst into flames, so I parked it on top of the pimp and let it blow up, killing his nearby partner.
Reward: $4,000
*You'll get a page telling you that the Pistol is now in stock at Ammu-Nation. Just walk inside and go up to the gun to purchase it. It costs $250.
5. The Fuzz Ball
Find a four-door car pronto! Taxis and Perennials (a type of station wagon - for the Europeans, I think they're called estates?) should be pretty common. You can use a two-door car, but it's a lot easier if you've got the two extra passenger seats. Once you've got the car, drive around the radar's green blips and pick up the prostitutes. When your car is full, follow the pink blip to the ball and drop them off. You only need to deliver four of the eight hookers to the party, but they're worth $500 a piece, so if you're quick, try collecting them all.
Reward: $2,000 - $4,000
1. Mike "Lips" Last Lunch
Before you walk into the marker to start the mission, you'll hear a phone ringing nearby; just ignore it. It's a separate odd job I'll cover later. Get to Marco's Bistro in the Saint Mark's district and steal the marked car - you're under a time limit, so be quick. You also cannot damage the vehicle or the owner will notice; take it to the Pay-N-Spray if you need to. Now follow the 8-Ball icon on your radar to the bomb shop and go inside, just like you would a Pay-N-Spray. When the bomb is equipped, you'll get a message to press Circle to arm it; don't worry about that yet. Get the car back to where it was parked, undamaged, and press Circle before getting out. Run out to the street and enjoy the scene. I never noticed this in the many times I've gone through this game, but they position the camera just so that you can see the Bistro sign that reads, "Eat 'til you explode!" You'll have a wanted star now, so drive it off.
Reward: $10,000
2. Farewell "Chunky" Lee Chong
Get a quick, heavy car before starting, and make sure you have full health (remember there are pick-ups in front of the hospital). FYI, the buggy Joe was working on is a very rare vehicle in this game, but you will eventually get to drive it if you go after the odd jobs. If you still have your gun from the mission with the pimp, go straight to Chinatown and find Chong in the courtyard. Otherwise, go around back of Ammu-Nation first - it's marked on your radar with a gun icon. When you enter the courtyard, you'll get a quick scene. The Triads are the guys in blue outfits, carrying bats and guns. If you entered from the south, like I did, run straight north until you reach the booth Chong is in on your left. Going too far into the area will gain the attention of the Triads, so kill them if necessary, and hide if your health is running low. Chong will make a run for it, so follow the green blip on the radar and ram his car until it smokes black. If your car catches fire, get out and steal another one as quickly as possible and continue the pursuit. It took me three cars before Chong would get out and run for it. Run him over.
Reward: $10,000
3. Van Heist
You'll need a strong car again. Find the marked armored van and crash into it (you'll gain up to a 2-star wanted level; stop in the Pay-N-Spray if the chase leads you by it) until the driver gets out. Take it to the lockup in Portland Harbor.
Reward: $20,000
*You'll get a page, opening up El Burro's odd jobs.
4. Cipriani's Chauffeur
Drive Toni to Mr Wong's Launderette. After the scene, gun it to Toni's mother's house.
Reward: $3,000
*The Uzi is now available at Ammu-Nation for $800. It's the only gun you can perform drive-byes with. While driving, look left or right with L2/R2, then press Circle to fire. Toni's mission strand is also open.
5. Dead Skunk in the Trunk
There's a car you need to get in that has a dead body in the trunk. First go to Ammu-Nation and buy an Uzi, then follow the blip to the car - don't get in it yet! If you approach the parking lot from the north, on the road that goes under the train tracks, you'll notice a car parked by the tunnel on your right - park your car in front of it. He's an enemy that will chase you otherwise. There's another car of the same model parked in the parking lot with a guy inside. Steal a car from traffic or the parking lot and park in front of it. Now get in the marked car and drive it safely to the crusher. Stop in the marker and get out. If for some reason one of the Forelli brothers catches up to you, shoot him. You'll have to wait a minute before the car is crushed to get your reward.
Reward: $10,000
6. The Getaway
This mission is only open from 6:00 to 14:00. Find a four-door vehicle and get to the marker to pick up Joey's men; honk your horn. Drive them to the bank in Chinatown. After the robbery, get to the Pay-N-Spray before dropping them back off at the building you picked them up at.
Reward: $30,000
1. Taking Out the Laundry
There are 3 purple blips on your radar, representing Triad fish trucks you need to destroy. First head to 8-Ball's by following the gun icon. Pick up the marked grenades and a short tutorial about them will pop up on your screen. Or if you prefer destroying vehicles via drive-by, then buy an uzi. Now get to a Triad. They don't know you yet, so they won't get freaked if they spot you. Either drive-by each truck until it starts on fire, or get ahead of one of the trucks, get out of your car, and throw a grenade at them. Just be careful it doesn't bounce off the truck and back at you. You're not under a time limit, so once you run out of uzi ammo, go back to Ammu-Nation and get more if that's your chosen strategy.
Reward: $20,000
2. The Pick-Up
Make sure you have a gun and full health for this mission. Go into the alley behind Mr Wong's Launderette, get out of your car, and pick up the briefcase. You're ambushed by Triads. Fortunately most of them are armed with bats. I just ran out into the street, then shot the Triads as they came out of the alley. Pick up any ammo they drop. Once they're all dead, drive back to Toni's.
Reward: $10,000
3. Salvatore's Called a Meeting
Drive over to Joey's to pick up the limo and Joey. Now drive to Luigi's club to pick him up. The Triads know you now, so you'll get shot at if they see you - be quick. Your final pick-up is Toni, at his place. Approach is place from the south, so you're in the right lane, facing north, when you stop in the marker. The Triads will now ambush you. Go straight and take your first right. Go full-speed up the hill and crash through the gap between the two Triad trucks blocking the entrance to Salvatore's mansion. Follow the dirt driveway to the garage and drive into it. The Triads might follow you onto the driveway, but they'll stop and get out (and shoot) halfway down to the house.
Reward: $15,000
*Salvatore's mission strand is now open, and you're officially a member of the mafia.
1. Chaperone
Drive Maria to the train station in west Chinatown and stop in the blue marker. After Maria makes the deal with Chico, head to the party he mentions in Atlantic Quays and drop Maria off. Stay put until you get a cut-scene of cops arriving at the party. You'll gain two wanted stars soon, but wait until Maria gets back in the limo before heading to the Pay-N-Spray or Salvatore's (which is closer, by the way - that's where you need to drop Maria off at). Drive into Salvatore's garage and wait for the door to close.
Reward: $10,000
*Toni's missions are open again.
2. Cutting the Grass
Get to Luigi's club and wait for Curly Bob to exit the place. When he get in the taxi, follow it, but don't get too close or too far or he'll either spot your or you'll lose him. When you finally reach Portland Harbor, continue tailing him until he stops behind the large building on the right. After the scene, run him over before he has a chance to shoot at you with his shotgun. Pick up his gun if you want it.
Reward: $15,000
*You'll get a page from Toni, ending Sal's mission strand for now.
1. Triads and Tribulations
If you don't have any guns, go to AmmuNation and suit up. Or if you're lucky, you'll come across a Mafia/Triad gunfight, then you can just steal the guns off whoever dies. Now follow one of the green blips on the radar - get to the two in Chinatown before heading to the fish factory, and kill the marked gangsters. Before going to the factory, stock up on health at the hospital. You'll also need a Triad fish van to get into the place, so find one. Go around to the back of the building and shoot the small group of Triads.
Reward: $30,000
*You'll get another page from Toni.
2. Blow Fish
Get to the garbage truck on the east side of 8-Ball's place, and drive it carefully to the fish factory before time runs out. As Toni told you, crashing too much will blow the truck up before you want it to, so steer clear of traffic. The Triads will be expecting your truck, so they'll let you right in. Drive around to the west side of the building, stop in the marker, and press Circle to activate the bomb before getting out. Run around the south side of the building (you might collect a Hidden Package) to avoid the gunfire, and enjoy the cut-scene. The Triads will still shoot at you, so hop in a Fish Van to open the gate and get out of the there.
Reward: $30,000
*The Import/Export odd job is now available.
1. Bomb Da Base: Act I
Make sure you've got $100,000 and head down to 8-Ball's place to pay him for the explosives. Act II of this mission begins when you pay 8-Ball the money. If you don't have the money, do some odd jobs (taxi driver, paramedic, etc) to earn what you need. Whether you have the money or not, you'll get the sign telling you not to come back until you do.
Reward: -$100,000
1. Bomb Da Base: Act II
Follow the on-screen instructions to learn how to use your sniper rifle (don't waste any ammo here) - you're going to need it for this mission. Drive 8-Ball down to Portland Harbor and stop in the marker, facing south for convenience. After the scene, 8-Ball will get out of the car and hide. Drive to the southeast corner of the building on your right and go up the stairs to the roof. Get back over to the SE corner of the roof for your vantage point. Equip your sniper rifle and take head-shots at all the Colombians on the boat. Kill the ones at the bottom of the ramp first, then work your way away from the top of it so as to provide 8-Ball with the best protection from gunfire; you'll fail the mission if he dies. There are 12 or 13 Colombians to be killed before 8-Ball plants the bomb and you get the dramatic cut scene. There are some sweet Cartel Cruiser trucks near where you're standing after the scene, so feel free to stash one in your garage if you want - it'll come in handy later. At least you get all your money back.
Reward: $150,000
*You'll eventually get a page about a new odd job. It's the basically the same thing as the Import/Export job, but there's a crane in Portland Harbor looking for certain emergency vehicles (cop cars, firetrucks, etc).
1. Last Requests
There' a car in the alley across the street from Luigi's club that needs crushing, so get to it. On your way there, Maria will page you - the car Sal sent you after is rigged with a bomb, and the moment you start it, it will explode. Spare yourself the life and get to the dock in Callahan Point to meet up with Maria; it's marked on your radar with a bright pink blip. After another scene, drive the boat to the docks just north of your position.
Reward: $20,000
Staunton Island is now unlocked, and you've got a new safe house to go with it! Check it out (a two-car garage!), and explore the new part of town. When you're ready, return to Asuka's for more missions. Note the locations of the Pay-N-Spray (on your map; just northwest of Asuka's), and the hospital at the north end of the island. Now might be a good time to save if you haven't in a while. There's an Ammu-Nation a block south of the Pay-N-Spray where you can buy a few new weapons, including body armor (basically an extra health supply) for $3,000. You'll need a sniper rifle for your next mission, so you might as well pick one up now if you don't still have the one from 'Bomb Da Base: Act II.'
WARNING: I strongly recommend doing all of the Portland odd jobs before starting the next mission. If you wait until afterwards, they will be incredibly difficult, if not impossible.
1. Sayonara Salvatore
Asuka is a member of the Yakuza, and she won't trust you until you've eliminated Salvatore Leone yourself. Get to the alley across the street to the east of Luigi's club before the time you're given. Walk up the stairs to the roof (there's a Hidden Package up here; I'll cover these in the Odd Jobs section). Walk right up to the ledge and press Square to hop up onto it. Pull out your sniper rifle, wait for Sal to exit Luigi's (Mafia will drive up to pick him up; they might be a little later than the time you were told), and jam a bullet in his head.
Reward: $25,000
*The Mafia are now your enemies, so don't drive around Saint Marks, Portland unless you plan on getting shot at. You'll get a page opening up King Courtney's missions in Aspatria. Also, the buggy Joey has been seen working on (BF Injection) can now be found parked at Misty's in the morning.
2. Under Surveillance
You'll need a sniper rifle again; I recommend an Uzi as well. During the scene, you're introduced to Asuka's brother, Kenji. His missions are open now, but I'll get to those after Asuka's done with you. Hop in a car, there should be a Yakuza Stinger parked nearby, and drive to each of the green dots on the radar, killing the marked men. The nearest one is in the park. If you enter next to the red GASOLINE billboard on the west side, you can walk in just a few feet and take out the two guys on the small island; they're armed so be quick about it. Head north and to the blip on your right. There are two guys in a van. Just use your Uzi to pull a drive-by and keep shooting until it catches fire and explodes. If they get out beforehand, just shoot 'em, or save the bullets and run them over. Cars are easily damaged in this game, as you've probably experienced already, so avoid their bullets if you can. Now go east, to Kenji's casino, for the final group of spies. If you stand under the big neon sign, you should be able to spot them all from there; look across the street to the southwest, and up towards the balconies. There are six total, and they'll all start firing once you hit one. If one of the Mafioso are blocked by the balcony they're on, there's a staircase just beyond the sign you're under that leads to the roof for a better view.
Reward: $15,000
3. Paparazzi Purge
Go around the building just south of you and down the stairs to the dock. Walk over next to the police boat and press Triangle to appear inside. Circle fires the guns, which you'll need in a second. Go a little north and fire at the marked boat. He'll speed north and around Portland, so you've got plenty of time to blow him out of the water.
Reward: $10,000
4. Payday for Ray
Get to the pay phone in Torrington and pick it up. You'll be told to get to the phone in West Belleville Park, then the one on Liberty Campus, and finally the one in South Belleville Park; be quick, you're on a time limit that doesn't reset for each phone. Oh, but there's more traveling! Get to the toilets in the park to meet Ray Machowski and open up his missions.
Reward: $11,000
5. Two-Faced Tanner
You'll need an Uzi for this mission. The driver you're after is "a strangely animated undercover cop" who is "more or less useless out of his car." If you've played the Driver games (I recommend the first two for PS1 if you haven't), you'd know that you play as an undercover cop named Tanner. In Driver 2, the ability to get out of your car was added, and sadly the only point in that was to steal other cars; you didn't have a gun or any other abilities, not to mention the guy was modeled very poorly. This mission is obviously a pun on that. In DRIV3R, developer Reflections gets back at GTA by making fun of Vice City's Tommy Vercetti and his inability to swim, which is then followed up by a scene in San Andreas putting down the Driver series once again. It's all in good fun!
But back to the guide: get in a car, drive to the pink blip on the radar, and stop in the blue marker (face south for convenience). Just drive-by shoot his car until it catches fire and he makes a run for it. Either run him over or gun him down. You'll lose any wanted stars you've gained once he's down.
Reward: $20,000
1. Kanbu Bust-Out
First you need to steal a cop car. Exit Kenji's Casino under the big sign and go north. Take your first left, and the police station will be on your right. There should be an unlocked cop car in the parking lot; if not, try to steal one off the street. Once you're in the car, follow the 8-Ball logo to the bomb shop next to the Pay-N-Spray. Now drive back to the police station (marked on your radar). Since you're in a government vehicle, the gate on the east side of the building will open up for you to pass. Stop in the marker, press Circle to activate the bomb, then get out and get in one of the cop cars parked nearby. Drive back to the hole you blew in the building and wait for the Kanbu to get in. Drive back around to the front parking lot and steal the Sentinel. Take it to the Pay-N-Spray to get rid of the heat, then drive the Kanbu to the Yakuza dojo in Bedford Point.
Reward: $30,000
2. Grand Theft Auto
Ah, the namesake of the game. You have 6 minutes to steal 3 high-end cars and deliver them, without a single scratch, to the garage in Newport. Luckily it's right next to the Pay-N-Spray, so if you do damage a car, it won't take you too much extra time to respray it. Do your best to avoid attracting the attention of the police. Directly west of the Casino, you'll find a Stinger in a parking lot alley. Enter from the north side, using the short alley you see on the radar. Walk back out to the street and steal a car. Drive to the car west of the garage and you'll find an Infernus in a parking lot that you have to enter from the north. The final car, a Cheetah, in the parking lot of the hospital.
Reward: $25,000
3. Deal Steal
Your first order of business is to steal a Yardie Lobo. You'll find one of these maroon low-riders driving around in front of the multi-story car park by the Pay-N-Spray. Once you've got one, follow the blip on the radar to your contact, then drive north to the hospital parking lot, where the meeting is being held. Press L3 to activate the horn, then kill all of the Colombians and destroy their two trucks (don't worry if you accidentally kill your partner). Pick up the briefcase and take it to Kenji.
Reward: $25,000
4. Shima
Follow the radar to the money-filled briefcase on the sidewalk. The same goes for the next one, only a gunman will be waiting for you. Just top with the briefcase right outside your door and quickly get out to collect it, then drive off to the pink marker. This guy won't pay, so go to Portland and kill the Diablos in Hepburn Heights (notice the BF Injection, the buggy you saw Joey working on, spawns nearby!). To save yourself the health, just do some quick drive-thrus and run them all down. A drive-by will help as well. When they're all down, pick up the briefcase (and any ammo they drop) and deliver it to the Casino.
Reward: $10,000
5. Smack Down
Quickly drive to one of the green blips and run over the dealer. More will appear on your radar. Kill at least 8 dealers to complete the mission. When no more are left, it will end.
Reward: $10,000, plus a bonus $1,000 for each additional pusher killed
1. Silence the Sneak
You may or may not need an Uzi for this mission, but you'll definitely need some grenades or Molotovs. Get to the witness protection house and you'll be shown your target's window. Before lobbing a grenade/Molotov in there, park a car or two (there should be a van in a nearby garage) to block the alley on the right side of the building. Now attack him. The garage will open and you'll get shot at as the witness tries to flee in his car. Immediately start throwing your explosive projectiles at your parked car(s), as well as McAffrey's. Hopefully he'll get caught in the inferno and die here and now. But if he does get through, drive after him, shooting all the while. He's a cop, so you'll gain a two-star wanted level. Do your best to avoid the cops and kill McAffrey. If his car starts on fire, he'll run for it, so run him over.
Reward: $30,000
2. Arms Shortage
You'll need full health and armor for this mission. Guns will be supplied for you. Go meet up with the one-armed Phil Cassidy (if you've played Vice City, you know how that really happened), pick up the guns next to him, and wait for the Colombians to show up. Kill 'em all, and don't let Phil die (don't bother going for the tank, it's locked)! Staying in between the containers is great for cover; expect the Colombians to come in from behind the building to the north, and in the front gate. You can somewhat remedy the front gate entrance by parking the big truck in front of it before the gangsters get there. If you're looking for someone to take down, they're represented on your radar by green dots. Should you need it, there's an armor pick-up in between the containers. Once they're all laid out, go back and talk to Phil.
Reward: $10,000
*You can now buy an M4 ($5,000), a shotgun ($1,500), and a rocket launcher ($25,000) from Phil's place. Unfortunately that tank is still locked.
3. Evidence Dash
Get an undamaged and fairly strong (i.e., not sporty), yet decently quick car and chase down the marked car. Ram him to knock out a piece of evidence. Simply run over that evidence to pick it up. Unfortunately, that hit just gained you two wanted stars. Don't go to a Pay-N-Spray unless you absolutely need to. If you can, it's best just to steal another car. You won't gain any more stars, so as long as you're fairly skilled at driving and can avoid crashing, the cops shouldn't be too much of a hassle. Once you've got all six evidence packages, blow up the car.
Reward: $10,000
*Donald Love's mission strand is now available.
4. Gone Fishing
You'll need a gun for this mission. This is just like the mission 'Paparazzi Purge'. Get down to the docks near Asuka's and steal a police boat. Once you're in, a green blip will appear on your radar. Your target is fishing with explosives out by the lighthouse near Salvatore's. Sail over there and blow him out of the water. Just be careful not to run into any explosive barrels he drops in his wake. Soon he'll drive up onto land and get out to run for it. I was lucky enough to accidentally run him over when I drove up after him, but if this isn't the case with you, simply chase after him and gun him down.
Reward: $15,000
5. Plaster Blaster
Uzi required, rocket launcher may help too - a fire truck or something similarly heavy is strongly recommended. The guy you just killed isn't dead. He's being transported in an ambulance, and your job is to make sure he doesn't make it. Catch up to the ambulance (watch out for Colombians) and ram it a couple times to make your target fall out (or if you have a rocket launcher, park a ways ahead of the ambulance and wait for it to approach before blowing the whole thing to smithereens and ending the mission now). He's in a bullet- and flame-proof body cast that will only be damaged by car or explosion. One swift run over him with a very heavy truck, or several with a normal car, and he's finished. If you're in the car, make quick passes to avoid getting damaged too much by the police.
Reward: $10,000
1. Liberator
Full health, armor, and some guns (including an uzi). Head north to Fort Staunton (around the construction yard) and steal a Colombian gang car (the blue trucks). Before continuing with the mission, repair any bullet damage from the Colombians at the Pay-N-Spray. Now drive to the Colombian headquarters in Aspatria; your truck will open the gate. Run over and drive-by shoot as many Colombians as you can until your truck starts on fire. Then run into one of the open garages for some cover and shoot anyone that comes near the entrance. The "Old Oriental Gentleman" you need to rescue is in the middle garage of the west side of the compound. Walk up to him to get him to follow you, then get into the Cartel Cruiser in the open garage next door. Drive him to Donald Love's building. Keep the Cartel Cruiser for the next mission.
Reward: $40,000
WARNING: I haven't confirmed this, but I've read that if you have not completed all of Kenji's missions before doing this next one, a glitch will not allow you to reach 100% game completion!
2. Waka-Gashira Wipeout!
You'll need an uzi (buy about five times to get sufficient ammo) and the aforementioned Cartel Cruiser. This is a fairly difficult mission, so you'll probably want to save the truck in your garage for a quick-reload if you fail the mission. Your job is to kill Kenji Kasen, but it must look like the Colombians did it (you can't exit the car while around the Yakuza). Drive a Cartel Cruiser to the multi-story car park by the Pay-N-Spray and go up to the roof. You'll get a short scene, showing all the armed Yakuza hanging around. Kenji will be marked by a blue arrow floating above him. Go up the north ramp to the level where Kenji is, but don't drive south at all. Shoot the nearest Yakuza (on the left side of the ramp you just came up) and a flock of them should run at you. Shoot all of these guys, but leave the rest alone; you need them to witness your truck killing Kenji. Now if you look south, you'll see a ramp in the east corner, and Kenji marked by a blue arrow on the west side. Drive at him between the short wall and the limo and run him over; you'll gain a three-star wanted level. Back out and then drive off the ramp you spotted. Drive out of the district and dump your car; no need to blow it up. You'll lose the cops once you've left it.
Reward: $30,000
*This next mission is an excellent opportunity to get the FBI car for the Portland emergency vehicle crane, but to make it easy I recommend completing all of the available vigilante missions up until now to earn 4 police bribes at your safe houses.
3. A Drop in the Ocean
The marked boat is in Portland, so just get to the docks near Asuka's to get one quicker. The yellow blip is the plane that's coming, so head southeast to meet up with it quickly. When the timer runs out, he'll start dropping packages. Run over them to pick them up. They won't be marked on your radar, so you'll have to keep an eye out for little lights in the water; the plain is simple enough to follow. Each one will gain you a wanted star, maxing out at five, but if you're right on the plane's tail, you shouldn't run into any cops yet. Once they're all collected, stop at the dock closest to Asuka's (back up to the dock and make sure you're close enough so you can jump onto it and not into the water and drown) and grab a car in the parking lot.
If you want to get the FBI car for the emergency crane odd job in Portland: on the road closest to Asuka's, go south towards the dock areas. As soon as an FBI car drops down from the road above, go back in the direction of Asuka's, allowing the FBI car to follow you. Stop to allow the FBI agents to get out, then kill them with either your car or shooting at them. It's possible to make them disappear and leave the car there by driving a little ways away from the car, but if you do this, it's also possible the car may disappear if you go too far. But once the FBI agents are taken care of, drive their car to your safe house to get rid of all but one of your stars, then continue on delivering the packages to Donald and complete the mission. Either store the car in your garage for later, or deliver it to the crane in Portland Harbor now.
If you don't care for the crane odd job, get in a car and drive to the nearby Pay-N-Spray to lose the heat (run behind as many things as possible to avoid FBI bullets), then you can safely deliver the packages.
Reward: $10,000
*Ray's missions are open again. The game's final island, Shoreside Vale, is now open. Listen for the announcement on the radio. The new locale comes with a three-car-garage house!
1. Grand Theft Aero
WARNING: I haven't confirmed this, but I've read that if you have not completed Asuka's mission "Two-Faced Tanner" before this mission, you will not be able to reach 100% game completion!
Get full health, armor, a sniper rifle, and at least an Uzi before beginning. Go to the airport in Shoreside Vale, but don't yet go up to the marked hangar; the Colombian Cartel are waiting for you. Get a fair distance away from the front of the hangar and pick them off with your sniper rifle - there are only four. Once they're all dead, get to the plane (notice the wings are clipped; they were removed from the game in response to the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks) and see if the package is in there. Nope. Get in the van and drive to the construction yard in Fort Staunton.
Enter the yard from the southwest and park by the south wall (the one by the street), directly south of the Cartel Cruiser parked down by the main area. Stand on your car and take out your sniper rifle to search the area for Colombians to pick off. There's one inside the west wall, one just northeast of the Cruiser, and one patrolling the east side by a ramp. Go around to the northeast corner and park by the van; get on your car again and pull out your sniper. There's an entrance to the inner area at its northeast corner, by a Cartel Cruiser and a couple vans. The Colombian in the entrance should be shooting at you; kill him. If you go directly in front of that entrance, you'll see another guy to pop. Now east of you is a wooden ramp leading into an unfinished building. Drive up it and go right, all the way to the end. Park your car in the corner and get on top of it again. If you look directly south, you'll see blue scaffolding in front of the next building (it's actually part of an elevator lift you need to get to...). On the right side, look down and you should see a Colombian standing there; shoot him. To the left of the scaffolding, there will be another one patrolling east and west. Cap him when he comes into view. From about where you're standing, look in the entrance you were shooting into a minute ago. Through the seemingly small opening, you should be able to spot a Colombian popping up and down behind cover. When he's down, drive through that entrance.
Follow the path around and when it opens up to the left, go around and drive-by the next Colombian. There's another guy above him as well. You could just walk out into the open and shoot him with an auto-target gun, but if you want to lose zero health, drive back out front and snipe him; he's the last guy. Make your way to the blue "scaffolding" I was talking about earlier and get into the yellow lift at its base. After the scene, take the package to Donald Love.
Reward: $50,000
*Asuka's continued mission strand is now available.
2. Escort Service
You'll need an Uzi and a car in good condition. The Oriental dude you saved from the Colombians, and Donald's package, are being transferred to Pike Creek, Shoreside Vale, in an armored van. Follow it and shoot up any Colombians that try to get in its way. Try not to crash into it yourself and cause unnecessary damage. My first bit of trouble came before the van reached Belleville Park. It was easy enough to blow him up, but it damaged the van a little when it exploded so near. It also attracted a wanted star and a cop. He didn't cause any trouble at all; one star isn't much. The next Cartel caught us up in the tunnel leading to Shoreside. Luckily I got him to explode far away from the van. One more Cartel Cruiser tried to stop the van near the airport, but again, he was easily taken care of. After that, you should be home free to the lockup.
Reward: $40,000
*You'll get a page opening up another payphone odd job, in Wichita Gardens. I also recommend saving before this next mission; it could get tough.
3. Decoy
Get back to Pike Creek. If you drive around the area, you'll notice there are cops everywhere, just waiting for that van to take off. Parking your car in front of one of theirs can only help.... Once you get in the van, you'll gain a 6-star wanted level; the highest GTA3 has to offer. You also have three minutes to keep the cops on you. I recommend going into the tunnels you drove through for the last mission. If you ever lose the cops, just stop where you are and hopefully you'll burn some time without worrying about damaging your van. If you get to an end of the tunnel, turn around and go back through it. I got lucky again a bunch of the police trucks that were after me were mysteriously stopped and didn't bother me when I did the same. A few more cops ended up reaching me, but it was nothing a few seconds of driving didn't cure. For the whole mission, I couldn't have filled up more than a third of my damage meter. Easy peasy. You'll lose all six stars once the time's up.
Reward: $35,000
4. Love's Disappearance
No work, no reward.
1. Marked Man
You'll need a fast car for this mission. The CIA is coming down on Ray and you've got three minutes to get him to the airport in Shoreside. The problem is, the CIA is blocking off the main bridge. The entrance to the tunnel that leads to Shoreside's end of the bridge is at the north side of the hospital, so head north from the park. Follow the tunnel around, and turn left at the intersection, and left again at your next opportunity (keep an eye out for it; it may be easy to miss). Once you exit the tunnel, keep driving fast to avoid the CIA's gunfire, and drive down in front of the airport. See, that wasn't so bad. Go to the marked lockup to collect your reward. There might still be CIA just outside of the airport that will shoot at you, but other than that, you've got nothing to worry about. When you reach the garage, Ray will page you - the Patriot's bulletproof! Better stash it in a garage, you definitely don't want to lose that (these prizes are only available this once).
Reward: $20,000, some guns, and a bullet-proof Patriot
1. Bait
The three "death squads" Catalina has waiting for you are all in Shoreside Vale. You'll cross the first one once you enter the main part of the island. Lead them to the yellow blip on the radar, and don't go too fast; you don't want to lose them (enter the grounds from the west). There's a yard full of Yakuza, waiting to kill all the Colombians that enter. Just duck into the alley in the southeast corner while the Yakuza take care of them, and avoid damaging your car or yourself. For the next group, exit the yard and turn right. Go straight and onto the dam. You'll meet another death squad at the other end. Lure them back to the ambush as well. When they're all dead, head for the third and final squad. Exit the yard to the right again, then turn right before the dam. Follow this road around and turn left onto the bridge. Just keep following this road straight until you meet up with the squad, then turn back and lure them in the way you came and repeat the alley strategy.
Reward: $35,000
2. Espresso-2-Go!
You'll need a fast, but heavy vehicle for this mission. I recommend a Cartel Cruiser or a Patriot (vans and other trucks will work as well). Drive to Portland for the first coffee/spank stand (ignore any blips on the radar for now; more will pop up as you enter their respective districts). Click here to view a map detailing the location of each stand, as well as the quickest route to follow. The map's from Liberty City Stories, but the route is the same. Once you destroy the first stand (run into it with your truck), you'll have 8 minutes to destroy the rest.I went through a Cartel Cruiser, a Stinger (which doesn't work at all), and two Blista vans in my reckless driving, so I don't think you'll have too much trouble if you follow my route.
Reward: $40,000
3. S.A.M.
Quickly get to the marked boat, and pick up the rocket launcher on the dock it's at. Drive out to the marker buoy and wait a second for the yellow blip to appear on your radar, representing a small plane you need to shoot down. WARNING: It's not one of the huge planes taking off from the airport, don't waste your ammo on it! It's actually a Dodo (the plane you saw in "Grand Theft Aero") with wings, and it should fly right over you, coming from the direction of the dock you were just at. It should come into view at about 17 seconds left on the timer. You'll gain a four-star wanted level, and you need to pick up the 8 packages that were dropped into the ocean. Take them to the construction site. Entering the lift will trigger the next "mission" automatically.
Reward: $45,000
4. Ransom
"I've got your precious Maria. If you don't want her face to look like she fell out with the butcher, bring $500,000 to the Villa at Cedar Grove." - Catalina
1. The Exchange
First, get full health and armor and save your game in Shoreside before starting this mission - don't waste money on weapons, they'll just get taken away from you. If you didn't save $500,000, like I told you at the beginning of the guide, then just do odd jobs (taxi, ambulance, cop, etc) until you do.
Walk into the marker in front of the Cartel mansion to start things off. They'll strip you of all your weapons. After the scene, grab the gun on the ground in front of you and shoot the two Cartel by the gate. Turn around and shoot the one running at you. Go up to the house and shoot the two on the balcony (the one on the right always drops his AK, hopefully the other one will too). Go into the garage on the left side of the house, grab the armor, then get in the Cartel Cruiser - QUICKLY!!! You've only got 7 minutes to kill them, exit the compound, get to the dam, and destroy the helicopter Catalina's in.
Exit the compound and turn left (you'll see Cat's helicopter; don't follow it). Follow this road up the hill and make your first left. Now you're behind the mansion. Get to the last, pink, house on this street. Use the hill by the east corner of the house to run and jump up onto the roof. Run to the back side of the roof, then over to the northwest end of the house, and pick up the rocket launcher. Get a running start and jump down to the road. Run a little west, to the entrance of the dam, and you'll see that it's blocked by a couple Cartel Cruisers. Auto-target shoot the two gangsters with your uzi (or AK, if you got one from the mansion), then get in the eastern Cruiser, back up, and follow the road down to the dam.
Remember, you need to work quickly, you're on a time limit! Near the end of this path (which is guarded by more Cartel), look for a sniper rifle by the second-to-last tree on your right. Use one of your machine guns to take out the two Cartel at the blockade, then walk up next to the Cruiser on the left and shoot the guy on the yellow container. Walk a little past the truck and you can shoot another to your right. Walk up onto the container you just killed the guy on and you can shoot two more: one on the tower to your right, one ahead of you, on the ground.
Run up to the top of the stairs of the first tower and pull out your sniper rifle. Quickly shoot the guy on the white container just west of you. Sniper the following Cartel as well: on the next tower. By the white containers at the base of said tower. The one standing out in the open. One of the two standing by the far truck. You're now out of sniper bullets, so run back down to the ground and grab the health by the first container you were on. Run forward and you'll soon trigger a cut scene. Keep going forward and avoid the truck that's driving at you; he should crash into some barrels by the first tower and explode.
Run just past the truck next to one of the guys you sniped and use your AK or M16 to take out the two guys on the ground here, and one up on the building ahead. Go up the stairs to the roof of that building. Quickly kill the two guys by Maria; one's got a flamethrower! Now take out your rocket launcher and shoot the helicopter to activate the final scene of the game. It's probably my favorite scene in all of the PS2 games. Unfortunately, you can't skip the credits. Save your game!
Reward: $1,000,000, Phil Cassidy's tank is unlocked
Odd Jobs
I strongly recommend doing Portland's odd jobs before you complete Asuka's first mission, "Sayanara Salvatore". The name of the mission already spoils what'll happen, so I'll just say this: the Mafia won't be too happy to see you on their turf, and will be waiting around with shotguns that will destroy your car with just a couple good hits.
Location: Get in a Firetruck on EACH island and press R3
Goal: Rescue 20 vehicles on EACH island
A blip will appear on your radar, representing a car that's on fire. Get there as quickly as possible and hold Circle to fire your water cannon. A quick splash is all that's needed. Wait for the next radar blip to appear, rinse and repeat on each of the 3 islands. Using your sirens (L3) to clear traffic will make this mission a little easier. It doesn't seem like you have to worry about catching on fire from crashing too much during the mission; the game has at least saved you from that.
Reward: Flamethrower spawns at safe house
Location: Get in an Ambulance on ANY island and press R3
Goal: Complete level 12
Get into an ambulance and press R3 to begin the missions. After you press R3, a green blip will appear on the radar, representing an injured person that needs a ride to the hospital. Another person is added for each level, and you'll soon have to make multiple trips: your ambulance has a 3-passenger limit. Each person picked up adds more time to your clock; just be careful not to run over any patients. This game's driving physics are especially poor and the ambulance is frustratingly easy to roll over, so try to be patient and take it easy while keeping within the time limit. Your car seems to be immune from catching on fire just from crashing.
Reward: Never tire from running, and health/adrenaline icons spawn at safe house
Location: Get in a Taxi or Cabbie on ANY island and press R3
Goal: 100 fares (does not have to be all at once)
It's simple enough; when you press R3, a blip will show up on the radar, somewhere in your immediate area. Go there to pick up the customer, and take them wherever they want. Too much damage to your taxi will cause them to run in fear.
Reward: Payment from each fare; plus Borgnine Taxis in Harwood, Portland opens up with a special red Borgnine taxi that is faster and more resistant to damage.
Location: Get in any kind of police vehicle on EACH island and press R3
Goal: Kill 20 criminals on EACH island
There are four possible vehicles to use for this: the standard police car, an Enforcer, an FBI car, and a Rhino tank. The Enforcer and Rhino are too slow to keep up with the criminals, and the FBI car is very difficult to obtain (steal while under a 5-star wanted level). The police car, however, is just right. They're reasonably quick and are all over the place. You're also going to need an Uzi with a lot of ammo for drive-byes.
If you're playing this game after any other GTA, you'll be relieved to know it's much easier here. Once you press R3, a green blip will appear on the radar representing a criminal on the run. Chase him down, get alongside, and shoot at their car until it catches fire. The criminal will then get out and try to steal another car. Try to shoot him down before he gets one. You can also ram the side of his rear end to spin him out. If he comes to a stop, like if he gets jammed up against a wall or traffic, a couple seconds of shooting will scare him out of the car (and again he'll try to run or steal another) so you can shoot him. After you've killed your first criminal, another will come up on the radar, then another, etc. Some criminals drop a lot of money, if you care to pick it up; you'll have 60 seconds to get back in your car before the mission ends. You don't need to kill all 20 criminals in one run, but you do need to kill at least 10 to get a police bribe to spawn at your safe house. Only 2 bribes can be earned from each island. Just like in other R3 missions, your car seems to be immune from catching on fire from damage alone, but you still need to drive carefully to avoid rolling over, particularly off-road.
Reward: 1 police bribe spawns at safe house for each 10 consecutive kills
Emergency Vehicle Crane Location: Portland Docks Prerequisite: "Bomb Da Base: Act II" (8 Ball) The specific location of the crane: From the south side of the Import/Export garage, look east. There's a crane magnet hanging over a yellow-striped square on the ground. Park the following emergency vehicles anywhere in the marked part of the ground and get out to deliver them (you don't have to sit there and wait for your reward; I got clear back to the police station before the Police was loaded onto the ship). They're each worth $1,500. - Ambulance: Kill some people on the street and an ambulance should come to the rescue. Otherwise, you'll usually find one parked in front of the hospital in Portland View. - Barracks OL: There's one parked at Phil Cassidy's place, or you can try stealing one from the army while under pursuit of a 6-star wanted level. - Enforcer: Use a Police to open the gate at the Staunton Island police station and you'll find one around back. Otherwise, you could try stealing one while they're chasing you with a 3-star wanted level. - FBI: No parked locations; you must steal one of these black Kurumas either while the FBI is chasing you under a 5-star wanted level, or during the mission 'A Drop in the Ocean' (Donald Love, Staunton Island). Beware of the four heavily-armed agents inside. - Firetruck: Snag the one parked in front of the Harwood fire station (north end of Portland, across the street from the gas station) or start a fire to get one to come to you. - Police: If you don't want to go through the trouble of stealing one of these off the street, there's a couple parked in front of the Portland View police station. They may or may not be unlocked. - Rhino (tank): Feeling brave? Why not get your wanted level up to 6 and steal one from the pursuing army? Or once you finish Catalina's mission, "The Exchange", the one at Phil Cassidy's place unlocks. Reward: $200,000 and the ability to import any of the cars delivered here =========================================================== Hidden Packages There are 33 white packages scattered around Portland island. Rocket launcher + $1,000,000 =========================================================== Import/Export Garage Location: Portland Docks Prerequisite: "Blow Fish" (Toni Cipriani) Enter Portland Docks from the west entrance (there's a red "Portland Docks" sign). Go into the parking lot to the left, and into the alley in the northeast corner. Take an immediate left into another alley, then turn turn right after the building to your right ends, facing northeast. See the garage with the list by the door, straight ahead of you? You need to deliver 16 cars. They're all found in Portland except where noted; otherwise, most can be found in traffic. Each of them are worth $1,000 no matter their condition. - Securicar: Spotted on the road behind the Staunton Island hospital while driving a Cartel Cruiser. - Moonbeam: In the parking lot of Greasy Joe's Diner in Callahan Point. - Coach: At the bus station in Trenton, just south of the Docks. - Flatbed: Don't confuse this with the Barracks OL. I spotted one behind the Staunton Island hospital while driving a Cartel Cruiser. - Linerunner: Enter Portland Docks from its west entrance, then go south, past the mobile buildings and semi trailers, and it'll be parked by the water. There's also one in the parking lot of Greasy Joe's Diner in Callahan Point. - Trashmaster: No parked locations, but can be spotted driving around northern Portland and Staunton Island. - Patriot: In the parking lot of the Supa Save next to the Docks. It'll automatically start a separate odd job, but just drive it away from the parking space and get out to cancel it. - Mr Whoopee: Spotted in Cedar Grove (Shoreside Vale) while driving a Cartel Cruiser. - Blista: In a garage near the ramp leading up to the Staunton Island Pay-N-Spray. - Mule: In Portland Docks' front parking lot. - Yankee: From the south side of the I/E Garage, look south and a little east. It's right next to the shipping containers and some big tanks. - Bobcat: In the parking lot of the gas station in Harwood. - Dodo: Francis Int'l Airport in Shoreside Vale. North hangar. There is a way to fly this thing, but just drive it like you would a car... only more carefully. Whatever you do, don't push forward on the left analog stick; when you release it, you'll take off. - Bus: Spotted while driving a Blista around the Staunton Island stadium. - Rumpo: Parked next to the building on the north side of the Liberty City Sawmills building in Trenton. - Pony: In the parking lot of the AM Petroleum Company in Trenton. Reward: $200,000 and the ability to import any of the cars on this garage's list =========================================================== Patriot Playground Location: Patriot (humvee) parked at the SupaSave in Portland View Get in the Patriot to start the mission. Your objective is to drive through each of the 15 checkpoints, which can be hit in any order, each adding 20 seconds to the clock. The timer doesn't start counting down until you collect the first checkpoint, so you may as well take the time to scope out each one and find the best way to reach them before beginning. Some of them are best reached by dropping down on them from above. My recommended route: 1: Under the train stop behind SupaSave. 2-3: Go southeast to get the one on the low rocks, then the one in the water nearby. 4: Drive to the top of the rock cliff via the grass by #2. Slowly drop down on the next, nearest, checkpoint, then back up to the top of the cliff again. 5: Follow the grass north and drop down into #5, landing on the beach by the pickup truck. 6: The next closest checkpoint is at the water's edge just north - be careful not to drive into the water and drown. 7: Just northwest of #6, this checkpoint is on a narrow path leading back up to the top of the cliff. Drive all the way up after grabbing it. 8: Behind the two parked Sentinels in Salvatore's driveway - careful not to fall off the cliff! 9: Before getting the next two just to the north, look east to find one on a lower platform on the side of a cliff. Drive full speed toward it and you should be able to reach it. 10-11: Now drop down from #9 and go back and get the two on the side of the hill near the cars. 12: On some large rocks below #9. 13. North of #12; slowly approach it from the west side, then back up and head to the beach. 14. On some low rocks below the large rock-bridge structure. 15. I had about 35 seconds left here, which was enough to climb back up the path from #7, then drive around the north wall of the house, onto the rock-bridge and carefully make my way down to the final checkpoint. Reward: $20,000 =========================================================== Payphone: El Burro Prerequisite: "Van Heist" (Joey Leone) Available: Any time, at the payphone at Misty's in Hepburn Heights 1. Turismo A simple checkpoint street race. Keep an eye on your radar to locate the next checkpoint you need to hit. I recommend using the Banshee parked in the showroom in north Saint Marks. Once you complete El Burro's missions, Turismo will open up again for you to repeat any time you like. Reward: $10,000 2. I Scream, You Scream Get to Harwood and pick up the brief case, then steal the ice cream van marked on the radar; simply stop in front of it. Take it to the marked parking spot in Atlantic Quays, sound the "jingle jingle" (L3; left trigger button), then get out and cross the street to watch. Once the guys are all crowded around the van, press Circle to detonate the bomb. If they don't die, you'll have to take care of that yourself to pass the mission. Reward: $6,000 3. Trial by Fire Follow the gun icon on the radar to pick up the flamethrower El Burro has left in an alley for you. Go back out onto the sidewalks and roast 25 Triads (guys in blue jumpsuits). Be careful not to get caught in the flames yourself. Reward: $10,000 4. Big 'n' Veiny Get in the marked van on the sidwalk and drive through the trail of magazines before the time runs out. Each collection adds a second to the timer. Once you reach the end of the trail in Portland Harbor, run into the guy standing by the van to kill him, then deliver your van to the magazine shop in the Red Light District. Reward: $20,000 =========================================================== Payphone: Marty Chonks Prerequisite: "Drive Misty For Me" (Luigi Goterelli) Location: 9:00 to 19:00, at the payphone across from Joey's in Trenton 1. Reward: $1,000 2. The Thieves Take Marty's Sentinel, go pick up the thieves in Chinatown, and bring them back to the factory. Afterwards, get the car resprayed and then bring it back. Reward: $3,000 3. The Wife Take Marty's car to pick up his wife and bring her back to the factory, then dump the car in the ocean. There's a dock in Atlantic Quays you can push it off of. Reward: $2,000 4. Her Lover You know what to do. Pick the guy up, deliver him to... wait, what's this? A twist in the plot! After you've collected your reward, you can kill the guy for his shotgun if you'd like. Reward: $4,000 =========================================================== Rampages I strongly recommend maxing out your health and armor before beginning any rampage. Also try to avoid triggering them when a cop is nearby. It'll only make it that much more difficult to survive. Each rampage has two possible start locations, and will alternate between them each time you fail. You must use the weapon specified, which, except in the case of a vehicle, are all provided for you. Kills resulting from any other manner (running them over with a car when you're given a weapon, for instance) won't count. Any bounty you gain during a rampage will disappear when you complete it, but stick when you fail. 1. Kill 20 Mafia in 120 Seconds! - Saint Mark's: From the entrance of the Leone mansion, go south. Halfway down the street, turn into the alley on the south side of the road, where a Mafia Sentinel is parked. The rampage is between the garages here. - The west end of the alley across the street to the south of the first location. 2. Murder 30 Diablos in 120 Seconds! - Red Light District: In the alley across the street to the east of Luigi's Sex Club 7. - Chinatown: By the north wall of the Callahan Bridge's on-ramp. 3. Destroy 10 Vehicles in 120 Seconds! - Saint Mark's: On the train tracks above the street just south of Ammu-Nation. - Trenton: On the tracks directly south of the first location. I recommend staying up on the tracks for this one. If you're on the ground, angry pedestrians will attack you. 4. Kill 20 Triads in 120 Seconds! - Trenton: In the alley on the southeast side of Mean Street Taxis. - Portland View: On the back ledge of the hospital. 5. Kill 25 Triads in 120 Seconds! - Chinatown: In the 'L' shaped alley in the southwest corner of the district. - Portland View: Behind the SupaSave. 6. Destroy 13 Vehicles in 120 Seconds! - Trenton: In the courtyard in the middle of the building across the street to the northeast of the Callahan Bridge - Callahan Point: In the courtyard next door to the east of Greasy Joe's Diner Restaurant. Watch out for angry pedestrians. Reward: - $5,000 for 1st rampage, plus $5,000 more added to each one (order doesn't matter; cumulative from Portland rampages) - $1,000,000 for completing all rampages =========================================================== RC Toyz: Diablo Destruction Location: RC Toyz can parked by the building next to the train stop in Hepburn Heights Get in the van to begin. You have 2 minutes to destroy as many Diablo Stallions as possible. Do so by either running into their tires or pressing Circle while near the car to detonate your car-bomb. Keep an eye out for when two Diablos stop next to each other at a light, where you can detonate your RC car right inbetween them. Reward: $1,000 for each destroyed car =========================================================== RC Toyz: Mafia Massacre Location: RC Toyz van parked in the alley across the street to the west of Ma Cipriani's restaurant in Saint Marks. Get in the van to begin. You have 2 minutes to destroy as many Mafia Sentinels as possible. Do so by either running into their tires or pressing Circle while near the car to detonate your car-bomb. Keep an eye out for when two Mafioso stop next to each other at a light, where you can detonate your RC car right inbetween them. Reward: $1,000 for each car destroyed =========================================================== Securicar Delivery * Not required for 100% * Location: Portland Docks, unmarked garage 2 Prerequisite: "Van Heist" Enter Portland Docks from the west entrance and drive straight ahead. Soon, on your left, you'll reach a row of garages. Deliver 10 Securicars to the unmarked number 2 garage to earn some cash (amount not dependant on vehicle condition). Your first reward will be $5,000, then each one after that will drop by $500 until you reach a final reward of $500. After that, you can deliver more Securicars, but you won't earn any more money. This job is easiest if you have completed the Portland Import/Export Garage, so you can just keep taking the trucks from there and driving them a couple buildings over. Reward: $27,500 =========================================================== Unique Stunt Jumps I recommend using a cop car or Banshee for these jumps. The latter can be found in the car dealer's showroom just north of Saint Mark's. 1. Chinatown/Red Light District. On the border between these two districts, there's a ramp set up by the subway entrance. Jump up onto the train tracks. 2. Chinatown. The concrete ramp by the waterside train stop. Clear the pedestrian bridge. 3. Callahan Bridge. On the bridge itself, look for the yellow-and-black striped divider. You don't need to unlock Staunton Island to access this. Clear the street. 4. Callahan Bridge. Between the on- and off-ramps, there's a grass mound. Hit it going south and clear the crossbeams. 5. Trenton. From the Callahan Bridge off-ramp, follow the street east. Just as it curves slightly to the south, there's a ramp set up by a building on the right. Clear that building. 6. Atlantic Quays. Look for the huge sand pile behind the row of small hangar-like buildings. Get as far back as you can to gain speed and clear the water gap. 7. Atlantic Quays. To the left (north) of #6's landing, there's a wooden ramp set up. Try to land on the second roof. I just missed it and fell into the alley, yet was still able to get the reward. 8. Portland Harbor. From the harbor's main entrance, enter the compound and go south until you see the wooden ramp before the semi truck trailers. Clear them. Reward: $5,000 for first jump, plus $5,000 more added to each one; $1mil after all are completed
A Ride in the Park Location: Get in the Landstalker parked by the building in the park in Belleville Park. Your objective is to, in 2 minutes, drive through each of the 12 checkpoints, which can be hit in any order, each adding 10 seconds to the clock. They're all found in the park, and the timer doesn't start counting down until you collect the first checkpoint, so you may as well take the time to scope out each one and find the best way to reach them before beginning. My recommended route: 1. On the dock by the starting point. 2. On the hill in the pond. 3-5. Drive south along the west wall of the park and use the grass hill to jump into the first checkpoint and into the street. Head north from here for the nearest entrance back in, then backtrack a few feet for another two checkpoints grabbed the same way (this time two at once). 6. Just northeast of 4 and 5, drive down the stairs towards the bathrooms, grab the cp, then continue up the other side. 7. East of 6, at the top of the stairs. 8. Just southeast of 7; either try to squeeze your way through the gap and drive over the wall, or back down the stairs and attack it from the side. 9-11. On the east side of the pedestrian bridge, under the bridge, and on the west side. It's best to grab the two side cp's by going directly down on them above to avoid rolling the truck from going at them sideways. 12. South end of the park. You can't miss it. Reward: $30,000 =========================================================== Hidden Packages (35) 34. Rockford. Rocket launcher + $1,000,000 =========================================================== Multistorey Mayhem Location: Bring a Stallion to the multi-storey carpark in Newport This checkpoint challenge is a little different than the others. For starters, the car isn't already provided for you. You need to find a Stallion and take it to the carpark. Park it just outside one of the two entrances (facing the inside!), get out, then get back in to trigger the mission. Your objective is to drive through each of the 20 checkpoints in 2 minutes, which can be hit in any order, each adding 5 seconds to the clock. This time, the clock starts immediately. The checkpoints are layed out to have you zig-zagging through each level of the carpark, so they're very easy to follow, with the last one grabbed by jumping off the ramp on the top level. Reward: $30,000 =========================================================== Payphone: King Courtney Prerequisite: "Sayanara Salvatore" Location: Ringing payphone in Aspatria 1. Bling Bling Scramble It's a street race, so get a fast car (a Yakuza Stinger and a Banshee can be found in the parking lots by Asuka's place). Where the other races would have you just try to reach the final checkpoint before everyone else, in this one your goal is to reach as many checkpoints first as possible. Whoever grabs the most out of the 15 total checkpoints wins. Reward: $1,000 for each checkpoint won 2. Uzi Rider After you're picked up, drive down to Hepburn Heights in Portland - Diablo turf. Drive-by shoot 10 of them (running them over won't count) and then get back to Staunton. Reward: $10,000 3. Gangcar Round-up Collect the following gang cars and deliver them to King Courtney's garage: - Yakuza Stinger: easily found driving around Torrington, Staunton Island. - Diablo Stallion: easily found driving around Hepburn Heights, Portland. Try to avoid passing near St Marks. - Mafia Sentinel: easily found driving around St Marks, Portland if you don't mind being pumped fulla' lead. The safe way to get this car if you don't already have one stashed in a garage is to head to Portland Harbor and enter through the main gate. From there, head northeast past the Export garage and onto the beach. Follow it north until just before Salvatore's mansion, where you'll find a narrow path in the hill that you can drive up, right to the late mob boss's driveway. Steal one of the two parked Sentinels and return to Staunton and Courtney's garage the way you came. Reward: $10,000 4. Kingdom Come You'll need a handgun (pistol or uzi), a gun with manual aim (sniper rifle) and either grenades or molotovs, as well as full health and body armor. Follow the radar to the walled-in parking lot in south Bedford Point before the clock runs out and get into the marked car. After the scene, suicide bombers will infinitely spawn out of the four vans parked around the lot. Immediately from when you take control, drive back out the main (northwest) entrance, then stop at the end of the 'tunnel' and get out. Shoot the bombers as they come out of the van, trying to shoot one as soon as it comes out of the van - the van should be in the explosion's blast radius and catch on fire, then explode. One down, three to go. These next three are easy. After taking out van number one, run out onto the street and head east a little ways. Soon, on your right, you'll come across a somewhat hidden entrance to an underground carpark. Beyond that entrance is a staircase. Get up to the top and take out your manual-aim gun. There's a van just below to your left, another one straight ahead at the far end of the parking lot, and a last along the southeast wall near where you got into the marked car. Unload on them until they explode, then take care of any left over bombers. If they're right up next to your wall, the grenades/molotovs will now come in handy - just be sure to stand back so you're not caught in the inferno yourself. In the case that a bomber or two seem stuck somewhere further into the lot that you can't get to with any of your weapons, drop down to the ground and pull out a gun to take them down (again, don't let them explode too close; with full health and armor, you can only take two or three hits). Reward: $10,000 =========================================================== Rampages I strongly recommend maxing out your health and armor before beginning any rampage. 1. Destroy 15 Vehicles in 120 Seconds! - Liberty Campus: Behind the campus's southernmost building, in the grass. - Fort Staunton: In the main construction yard, inside the sharp northeast corner. The stadium's parking lot should hold about a third of the required cars. 2. Explode 25 Yardies in 120 Seconds! - Belleville Park: In the alley behind the fire station. - Liberty Campus: In the alley behind the campus's southernmost building. 3. Destroy 8 Vehicles in 120 Seconds! - Belleville Park: Southwest corner of the park. - Northeast corner of the park. Gather vehicles beforehand and park them close together to get a head start. 4. Torch 16 Yakuza in 120 Seconds! - Newport: Just northeast of the tunnel on the highway leading toward Fort Staunton, in front of a door. - By 8-Ball's shop. Try not to let a molotov land too close or you'll catch yourself on fire. 5. Anniliate 30 Yardies in 120 Seconds! - Bedford Point: In the walled-in graveyard at the church. - By the main entrance to the walled-in parking lot a block south of the church. 6. Burn 25 Yakuza in 120 Seconds! - Bedford Point: Southeast corner of the walled-in parking lot. - Southwest corner of the church. 7. Pop 17 Yardie Heads in 120 Seconds! - Torrington: First-floor roof of the AM building. - Third-floor balcony of Kenji's Casino. These must be head shots to count, and this rampage is best done on ground level to minimize adjustments in your aim. Depending on how quick you are with a sniper rifle, you may not have a whole lot of time here. Reward: - $5,000 for 1st rampage, plus $5,000 more added to each one (order doesn't matter; cumulative from Portland rampages) - $1,000,000 for completing all rampages =========================================================== RC Toyz: Casino Calamity Location: RC Toyz van in the parking lot across the street to the northwest of Kenji's Casino in Torrington. Get in the van to begin. You have 2 minutes to destroy as many Yakuza Stingers as possible. Do so by either running into their tires or pressing Circle while near the car to detonate your car-bomb. Keep an eye out for when two Yakuza stop next to each other at a light, where you can detonate your RC car right inbetween them. Reward: $1,000 for each car destroyed =========================================================== Unique Stunt Jumps Again, using a fast sports car such as a Banshee, Cheetah, Infernus, or cop car is recommended. 1. Newport. On the roof of the multistory carpark. Clear the planters across the street. 2. Newport. From the street by Asuka's place, drive south into the docking area and drive straight to the south wall past the row of yellow, red and blue containers. From there, take a left, then right. The jump is the dirt pile. Clear the water. Gather speed through the way you were just directed in, not the ramps behind the semi trailers. Don't go off it too fast though; a couple times I got high enough to hit the bridge above and it didn't count. 3. Newport. The huge grass ramp between billboards on the highway that runs under the Callahan Bridge (on the north side of the bridge). Clear the bridge, or at least come close to it. 4. Bedford Point. The staircase inside the glass-walled Tw@ Internet Cafe just southwest of Callahan Bridge. Clear the street. Reward: $5,000 for first jump, plus $5,000 more added to each one; $1mil after all are completed
Gripped! Location: In lower Wichita Gardens, follow the dirt path off the northeast street corner to the picnic area and get in the Patriot. Your objective is to, in 5 minutes, drive through each of the 20 checkpoints, which can be hit in any order, each adding 15 seconds to the clock. The timer doesn't start counting down until you collect the first checkpoint, so you may as well take the time to scope out each one and find the best way to reach them before beginning. You do not want to do this one in the rain. It may also be very useful to know here that you have more torque in reverse than you do going forward - this will help you My recommended route: 1. Just south of the starting point, on the grassy hill. 2. Southwest of #1, on the other side of the dirt path. 3. Drive almost directly west (slightly south) of #2, up the dirt hill. 4. From #3, go straight north up the hill. 5-6. Next, go back down the hill about halfway between where 3 and 4 were, then turn west towards two checkpoints that are right next to each other. 7. Continue up to the top of the hill from between where 5/6 were and then go west for 7. 8. Now drive over the low wall and follow the street around east and north. After the turn, there's another checkpoint in the grass on the right side of the road. 9. Continuing north, turn off into the grass on the right before the tunnel and go up the hill northeast and into the cp. 10. From 9, continue north up the hill for another cliffside checkpoint. 11. Just northwest of 10, in a ditch. 12. From 11, go southwest and up the large hill. 13. From 12 you can see 13 just south, atop another hill. 14. This one is west of 13, but it's on the side of a steep cliff. Come down on it in reverse, using your accelerator as a brake, then drive straight back up. 15. Go north from 14, up the rocky part of the hill. 16. Continue west, and when the two nearest cp's appear on your radar, head for the southern one first. It's very easy to grab. 17. Now for the northern one, atop a hill (it might make sense to hit the next checkpoint first because of location order, but the terrain is much harder to deal with from the west. 18. From 17, go a little west, then south for this checkpoint. Be especially careful here as it's easy to slide off the side of the hill and down to the road. 19. Continue back north past 17. 20. Above the blocked off tunnel entrance to the west. Go around the north side and approach from the west. Reward: $40,000 =========================================================== Hidden Packages (32) 69. On the bridge connecting Staunton Island and Shoreside Vale. Coming up on your right is a small parking space with a firetruck, next to which is a package. 71. Airport. Just north of #70, there is a break in the wall you can drive through (there's an almost circular building with large pillars curving up to the roof). Go southwest, into the corner, to find this package. 72. Airport. Under the wing of an airplane on the west side of the 'parking' area. 73. Airport. Hopefully you don't slide up the next ramp and down to the road again! Slam on your brakes as soon as you land as a precaution; if you lose your car between the ramp and the wall, you can at least jump down to the street without suffering significant injury. 88. Cochrane Dam (top). Behind the building at the end of the west pier. 89. Cochrane Dam (top). Behind the building at the end of the east pier. 90. Cochrane Dam (bottom). The package is by a table near the Bobcat. 100. Cedar Grove. In the graffitied tunnel under the S-road. Weapons spawn at your safehouses for every ten packages collected; the order in which you collect them does not matter. 10. Pistol 20. Uzi 30. Grenades 40. Shotgun 50. Body armor 60. Molotov cocktails 70. AK47 80. Sniper rifle 90. M16 100. Rocket launcher + $1,000,000 =========================================================== Import/Export Garage Location: North Pike Creek (technically in the "Cochrane Dam" district) Prerequisite: Unlock Shoreside You need to deliver 16 cars (these are all found parked in Shoreside Vale except where noted; otherwise, most can be found in traffic). To "deliver" the cars, just drive them into the garage, get out of the vehicle, and leave the garage. Each of them are worth $1,000 no matter their condition. - Sentinel: In the parking lot on the north side of the airport. - Cheetah: When entering Cedar Grove from the bridge leading to north Pike Creek, it's parked in front of the garage of the third house on the left. - Banshee: In the parking lot at the bottom of the big S-road connecting Wichita Gardens and Cedar Grove. - Idaho: Parked in front of the Supa Save in Portland View. - Infernus: In the parking lot on the north side of the airport. - Taxi: Do you need to ask? If you can't find one in traffic, there's on in the parking lot on the north side of the airport. - Kuruma: In the west parking lot of the lower (eastern) half of Wichita Gardens. - Stretch: Spotted one in Bedford Point (Staunton Island) while driving a Mafia Sentinel. - Perennial: In the front parking lot of Portland Docks. - Stinger: When entering Cedar Grove from the bridge leading to north Pike Creek, it's parked in front of the garage of the first house on the left. - Manana: In the parking lot on the north side of the airport. - Landstalker: When entering Cedar Grove from the bridge leading to north Pike Creek, it's parked in front of the garage of the second house on the left. - Stallion: In the parking lot at the bottom of the big S-road connecting Wichita Gardens and Cedar Grove. - BF Injection: In front of Misty's apartment in Hepburn Heights (complete Asuka's first mission). - Cabbie: Commonly seen around Portland while driving a Taxi. Spotted in Pike Creek while driving an Infernus. - Esperanto: In the parking lot on the north side of the airport. Reward: $200,000 and the ability to import any of the cars on this garage's list =========================================================== Payphone: D-Ice Location: Ringing payphone in lower Wichita Gardens. 1. Uzi Money Drive around and shoot 20 Nines (purple jackets, not red). Be careful when Hoods Rumpo XLs are around; they'll come after you if they see you shooting their men. Reward: $10,000 2. Toyminator If you've done an RC Toyz mission yet, you'll know exactly how this plays out. Get in the marked van and destoy each of the three targets by detonating (pressing Circle) your RC car by them. The catch is that you're limited to only four RC cars, affording you only one mistake. The game warns you about staying in range, but I think as long as you don't leave Staunton you should be fine. Reward: $10,000 3. Rigged to Blow Get into D-Ice's car just north of your safehouse and drive it quickly (under 6 minutes) but carefully to the marked garage in St. Marks, Portland. Don't worry about running into any Mafia trouble during the mission; maybe they were paid off. The fastest route is through the tunnel, which you can enter just a few yards west of where the Infernus is parked, on the lower road. While in the tunnel, go straight through both of the intersections. Once the bomb has been disarmed, get the car fixed at a Pay-N-Spray if needed, then return it to Wichita. Reward: $20,000 4. Bullion Run Some platinum has been dropped all over Pike Creek. Get a vehicle (preferably a Hoods Rumpo XL or the Cartel Cruiser parked by the phone) and rush down there. You have 6 minutes to grab 30 pieces of bullion and deliver it to the Pike Creek lockup (#2 on the far left). Try to get about 15 pieces in two trips to balance out big loads and quicker transportation. Picking up 5 pieces will attract a 1-star wanted level, but once you drop a load off at the garage, it disappears. Remember, the platinum is very heavy, which will both slow you down and increase damage from crashing exponentially as you pick up more. Reward: $25,000 5. Rumble Full health and armor is recommended here. First pick up D-Ice's brother at your safehouse, then head back down to lower Wichita, to the northeast corner road and take the dirt path to the camping area to fight. No weapons or running people over or you'll fail the mission. Bats only. Just go in there and swing away. Reward: $10,000 =========================================================== Rampages I strongly recommend maxing out your health and armor before beginning any rampage. 1. Splatter 20 Colombians in a Car in 120 Seconds! - Francis Intl. Airport. In front of the airport's main building, behind the Fat Burger Kid and Cut billboards. - Pike Creek. From the alley on the west side of the Burke building in the south end of the district, head directly south, into the grass across the street. 2. Destroy 15 Vehicles in 120 Seconds! - Pike Creek. In the compound in the southeast corner of Pike Creek, take the stairs to the roof of the Turtle Head building. - Behind the Badfellas billboard on the road that connects Pike Creek to the airport and lift bridge. The first location is definitely the safest place. Being so high off the ground keeps cops from killing you. 3. Driveby and Destroy 7 Vehicles in 120 Seconds! - Pike Creek. Directly across the street to the west of Rampage 2A, by the guard's hut. - Take the road in Pike Creek down to the dam. This rampage is behind the rock on the left where the road branches out into a loop. 4. Remove 15 Colombian Heads in 120 Seconds! - Pike Creek. From the southwest entrance to the top of Cochrane Dam, go south half a block and turn into the compound. At the far wall, turn right and continue towards the Unique Stunt Jump, next to which you'll find the rampage icon. - Go behind the police station and jump onto the roof of the south row of garages. It's at the end. Either spot is a safe vantage point, but sniping from high up is always a slow process having to constantly adjust your aim up and down, as well as left to right. On the ground, you can for the most part just move the scope left and right without too much up/down movement, speeding up the aiming process. 5. Fry 20 Colombians in 120 Seconds! - Cedar Grove. Behind the garage of the middle house. - Pike Creek. Just south of the export garage, in front of the Fudge Packing Corp. garage. It's always more difficult to pull off a rampage in a gang's home turf because they spawn a lot more often. This one's easiest by the export garage. 6. Behead 20 Hoods in 120 Seconds! - Wichita Gardens. Behind the high yellow Squid billboard in the northeast corner of the district, by the path to the picnic area. - Behind the large red Gasoline billboard at the lower hairpin of the S-road. These must be headshots to count, and just as with the sniper rifle, being on ground level makes aiming quicker. 7. Splatter 20 Hoods in 120 Seconds! - Wichita Gardens. On the roof of a 3-car garage on the west side of the lower half of the district. Drop down from the bridge. - Behind the large blue Sumo billboard across the street from the airport, on the road leading to the lift bridge and Pike Creek. Again, this is easiest by the airport because it's not in the Hoods' home turf, so they won't spawn as much. Reward: - $5,000 for 1st rampage, plus $5,000 more added to each one (order doesn't matter; cumulative from Portland rampages) - $1,000,000 for completing all rampages =========================================================== RC Toyz: Rumpo Rampage Location: Wichita Gardens, RC Toyz van behind the Zip and McAdam billboards at the bottom of the S-road. Get in the van to begin. You have 2 minutes to destroy as many Hoods Rumpo XLs as possible. Do so by either running into their tires or pressing Circle while near the car to detonate your car-bomb. Keep an eye out for when two Hoods stop next to each other at a light, where you can detonate your RC car right inbetween them. Reward: $1,000 for each car destroyed =========================================================== Unique Stunt Jumps 1. Airport. A mobile staircase next to the front of a plane by the northeast hangar. Clear the plane. 2. Airport. The three yellow-striped ramps on the south side of the northwest closed hangar. Use one to clear the hangar without touching it. Gather speed by starting further back than the next hangar and coming in at them at an angle. A Cheetah worked for me here; a Stinger wasn't fast enough. 3. Airport. Directly south of #2 is another set of identical ramps, facing east. Clear the hangar. You can make the requirement on any of the ramps, but the northern two have helicopters where you'll land. 4. Airport. Same as the last two, directly east of #3. 5. Airport/Wichita Gardens border. When going from the airport to Pike Creek, there's a dirt path leading off the curve in the road. Jump off the broken bridge/dock at the end, preferably off the right side to avoid flipping over. 6. Pike Creek. Enter the compound just south of the entrance to the top of Cochrane Dam. The ramp is on the east wall. 7. Pike Creek. Same compound as #6, but directly south. 8. Cedar Grove. Just southwest of the entrance to the lower part of Cochrane Dam, the road curves around. On the outside of the turn is a berm in the grass. Jump it to the lower road on the other side of the water. Approach it from the south, launching off northwest, towards the loop in the road. Reward: $5,000 for first jump, plus $5,000 more added to each one; $1mil after all are completed
Keep in mind that this guide is for the PS2 version, so things may be slightly different if you're playing it on Xbox or PC.

STORY MISSIONS
==============
===========================================================
~ Portland ~
===========================================================
Intro
===========================================================
Luigi Goterelli (L)
===========================================================
Joey Leone (J)
===========================================================
Toni Cipriani (T)
===========================================================
Salvatore Leone (S)
===========================================================
Toni Cipriani (Cont'd)
===========================================================
Salvatore Leone (Cont'd)
===========================================================
8-Ball (8)
===========================================================
Salvatore Leone (Part 3)
===========================================================
~ Staunton Island ~
===========================================================
Asuka Kasen (A)
In DRIV3R, Reflections gets back at GTA by making fun of Vice City's Tommy Vercetti and his inability to swim, which is then followed up by a scene in San Andreas putting down the Driver series once again.
===========================================================
Kenji Kasen (K)
===========================================================
Ray Machowski (R)
1. Silence the Sneak
You may or may not need an Uzi for this mission, but you'll definitely need some grenades or Molotov.
===========================================================
Donald Love (D)
2. Waka-Gashira Wipeout!
WARNING: I haven't confirmed this, but I've read that if you have not completed all of Kenji's missions before doing this one, a glitch will not allow you to reach 100% game completion!
This next mission is an excellent opportunity to get the FBI car for the Portland emergency vehicle crane, but to make it easy I recommend completing all of the available vigilante missions up until now to earn 4 police bribes at your safe houses.
===========================================================
~ Staunton Island / Shoreside Vale ~
===========================================================
Donald Love (Cont'd)
No work.
===========================================================
Ray Machowski (Cont'd)
1. Marked Man
You'll need a fast car for this mission.
===========================================================
Asuka Kasen (Cont'd)
===========================================================
Catalina (C)
ODD JOBS
========
Firefighter
===========================================================
Paramedic
===========================================================
Taxi
Location: Get in a Taxi or Cabbie on ANY island and press R3
Goal: 100 fares (does not have to be all at once)
It's simple enough; when you press R3, a blip will show up on the radar, somewhere in your immediate area. Go there to pick up the customer, and take them wherever they want. Too much damage to your taxi will cause them to run in fear.
Reward: Payment from each fare; plus Borgnine Taxis in Harwood, Portland opens up with a special red Borgnine taxi that is faster and more resistant to damage.
===========================================================
Vigilante

Emergency Vehicle Crane
Location: Portland Docks
Prerequisite: "Bomb Da Base: Act II" (8 Ball)
The specific location of the crane: From the south side of the Import/Export garage, look east.
Reward: $200,000 and the ability to import any of the cars delivered here

Import/Export Garage
Location: Portland Docks
Prerequisite: "Blow Fish" (Toni Cipriani)
Enter Portland Docks from the west entrance (there's a red "Portland Docks" sign).
Reward: $200,000 and the ability to import any of the cars on this garage's list

Patriot Playground
Location: Patriot (humvee) parked at the SupaSave in Portland View
Get in the Patriot to start the mission. My recommended route:
1: Under the train stop behind SupaSave.
Reward: $20,000
===========================================================
Payphone: El Burro
Prerequisite: "Van Heist" (Joey Leone)
Available: Any time, at the payphone at Misty's in Hepburn Heights
1. Turismo
A simple checkpoint street race. Keep an eye on your radar to locate the next checkpoint you need to hit. I recommend using the Banshee parked in the showroom in north Saint Marks. Once you complete El Burro's missions, Turismo will open up again for you to repeat any time you like.
Reward: $10,000
2. I Scream, You Scream
Get to Harwood and pick up the brief case, then steal the ice cream van marked on the radar; simply stop in front of it.
Reward: $6,000
3. Trial by Fire
Follow the gun icon on the radar to pick up the flamethrower El Burro has left in an alley for you. Go back out onto the sidewalks and roast 25 Triads (guys in blue jumpsuits). Be careful not to get caught in the flames yourself.
Reward: $10,000
4. Big 'n' Veiny
Get in the marked van on the sidwalk and drive through the trail of magazines before the time runs out. Each collection adds a second to the timer. Once you reach the end of the trail in Portland Harbor, run into the guy standing by the van to kill him, then deliver your van to the magazine shop in the Red Light District.
Reward: $20,000
===========================================================
Payphone: Marty Chonks
Prerequisite: "Drive Misty For Me" (Luigi Goterelli)
Location: 9:00 to 19:00, at the payphone across from Joey's in Trenton
1. The Crook
Go inside the dog food compound and get in Marty's car. Then go and pick up his bank manager and drive him back to the factory. After the scene, take the car to the crusher.
Reward: $1,000
2. The Thieves
Take Marty's Sentinel, go pick up the thieves in Chinatown, and bring them back to the factory. Afterwards, get the car resprayed and then bring it back.
Reward: $3,000
3. The Wife
Take Marty's car to pick up his wife and bring her back to the factory, then dump the car in the ocean. There's a dock in Atlantic Quays you can push it off of.
Reward: $2,000
4. Her Lover
You know what to do. Pick the guy up, deliver him to... wait, what's this? A twist in the plot! After you've collected your reward, you can kill the guy for his shotgun if you'd like.
Reward: $4,000
===========================================================
Rampages
I strongly recommend maxing out your health and armor before beginning any rampage.
Halfway down the street, turn into the alley on the south side of the road, where
a Mafia Sentinel is parked.
- Trenton: In the courtyard in the middle of the building across the street to the northeast of the Callahan Bridge
- Callahan Point: In the courtyard next door to the east of Greasy Joe's Diner Restaurant.
Watch out for angry pedestrians.
Reward:
- $5,000 for 1st rampage, plus $5,000 more added to each one (order doesn't matter; cumulative from Portland rampages)
- $1,000,000 for completing all rampages

RC Toyz: Diablo Destruction
Location: RC Toyz can parked by the building next to the train stop in Hepburn Heights
Get in the van to begin. You have 2 minutes to destroy as many Diablo Stallions as possible. Do so by either running into their tires or pressing Circle while near the car to detonate your car-bomb. Keep an eye out for when two Diablos stop next to each other at a light, where you can detonate your RC car right inbetween them.
Reward: $1,000 for each destroyed car
===========================================================
RC Toyz: Mafia Massacre
Location: RC Toyz van parked in the alley across the street to the west of Ma Cipriani's restaurant in Saint Marks.
Reward: $1,000 for each car destroyed

Securicar Delivery
* Not required for 100% *
Location: Portland Docks, unmarked garage 2
Prerequisite: "Van Heist"
Enter Portland Docks from the west entrance and drive straight ahead.
Reward: $27,500

Unique Stunt Jumps
I recommend using a cop car or Banshee for these jumps.

A Ride in the Park
Location: Get in the Landstalker parked by the building in the park in Belleville Park.
My recommended route:
Reward: $30,000

Multistorey Mayhem
Location: Bring a Stallion to the multi-storey carpark in Newport
This checkpoint challenge is a little different than the others.
Reward: $30,000

Payphone: King Courtney
Prerequisite: "Sayanara Salvatore"
Location: Ringing payphone in Aspatria
1. Bling Bling Scramble
It's a street race, so get a fast car (a Yakuza Stinger and a Banshee can be found in the parking lots by Asuka's place). Where the other races would have you just try to reach the final checkpoint before everyone else, in this one your goal is to reach as many checkpoints first as possible. Whoever grabs the most out of the 15 total checkpoints wins.
Reward: $1,000 for each checkpoint won
2. Uzi Rider
After you're picked up, drive down to Hepburn Heights in Portland - Diablo turf. Drive-by shoot 10 of them (running them over won't count) and then get back to Staunton.
Reward: $10,000
3. Gangcar Round-up
Collect the following gang cars and deliver them to King Courtney's garage:
- Yakuza Stinger: easily found driving around Torrington, Staunton Island.
Reward: $10,000
4. Kingdom Come
You'll need a handgun (pistol or uzi), a gun with manual aim (sniper rifle) and either grenades or molotovs, as well as full health and body armor.
Reward: $10,000
===========================================================
Rampages
I strongly recommend maxing out your health and armor before beginning any rampage.
Reward:
- $5,000 for 1st rampage, plus $5,000 more added to each one (order doesn't matter; cumulative from Portland rampages)
- $1,000,000 for completing all rampages
===========================================================
RC Toyz: Casino Calamity
Location: RC Toyz van in the parking lot across the street to the northwest of Kenji's Casino in Torrington.
Reward: $1,000 for each car destroyed
===========================================================
Unique Stunt Jumps
Again, using a fast sports car such as a Banshee, Cheetah, Infernus, or cop car is recommended.

It may also be very useful to know here that you have more torque in reverse than you do going forward - this will help you My recommended route:
Reward: $40,000

Hidden Packages (32)
69. On the bridge connecting Staunton Island and Shoreside Vale. Get onto the middle of the center median and wait until the bridge rises to the top.
70. Airport. Follow the road past the large blue SUMO billboard to head towards the airfield.
73. Airport. Under a plane parked up to a terminal at the south end of the airport, near some helicopters.
74. Airport. On the helipad in the southwest corner of the airfield.
75. Airport. On a low ledge by the water in the southwest corner of the airfield.
76. Airport. On a low ledge by the water at the end of the east-west runway.
77. Airport. Behind the Lips 106 and Punk Noodles billboards in front of the south end of the airport's main building.
78. Airport. Enter the subway from just east of #77. Go down the stairs and escalator, turn left (obviously), take your second right, and go down another set of stairs at the end of the hallway.
79. Airport/Wichita Gardens border. When going from the airport to Pike Creek, there's a dirt path leading off the curve in the road. The package is under the broken and twisted bridge/dock at the end.
80. Pike Creek. Enter the compound in the southeast corner of the district and find the stairs leading to the roof of the large west building. Launch a quick car up the first set of stairs and onto the next building's awning. The package is at the south end.
81. Pike Creek. Behind #80's building.
82. Cochrane Dam (bottom). Take the road from Pike Creek leading to the dam. The package is in front of the building, in the corner by the dam.
83. Pike Creek. Behind the hospital.
84. Pike Creek. From the hospital's north entrance, follow the road south a bit until a low ledge replaces the tall wall on the south side of the road. Walk right up to the ledge and look down, and you can see the package on top of a red container. Park a car by the ledge, jump onto it, then jump down.
85. Pike Creek. Behind the police station, jump onto the roof by the ramp that leads down to some garages.
86. Pike Creek. By some explosive barrels on the east side of Liberty Pharmaceuticals.
87. Pike Creek. In the fensed-in alley behind the export garage. To get back there, go around to the compound just north of the garage, entering from the west end of the road. Coming straight from the west entrance, launch a quick car off the ramp (USJ) at a bit of a left angle. You should land in the compound, if not on the roof on its north side.
At the top of the steps of the first tower on the side of the dam.
91. Cochrane Dam (bottom). Cochrane Dam (bottom). By the side of the dam up at the helipad.
92. Cedar Grove. Behind the second house from the west.
93. Cedar Grove. At the front door to the third house from the west.
94. Cedar Grove. In the empty pool of the Colombian Cartel mansion. You'll need a Cartel Cruiser for the gate to open.
95. Cedar Grove. On the front porch of the middle house.
96. Wichita Gardens (upper). By the RC Toyz van behind the Zip and McAdam billboards.
97. Wichita Gardens (lower). At the southeast door of the northeast apartment building, directly across the street from the YFBC billboard.
98. Wichita Gardens (lower). In the tight alley between the two south apartments.
99. Wichita Gardens (lower). Technically in Cedar Grove, take the path leading off the northeast corner road in lower Wichita to the camping area. The package is by a table near the Bobcat.
100. Cedar Grove. In the graffitied tunnel under the S-road.
Weapons spawn at your safehouses for every ten packages collected; the order in which you collect them does not matter.
10. Pistol
20. Uzi
30. Grenades
40. Shotgun
50. Body armor
60. Molotov cocktails
70. AK47
80. Sniper rifle
90. M16
100. Rocket launcher + $1,000,000

Import/Export Garage
Location: North Pike Creek (technically in the "Cochrane Dam" district)
Prerequisite: Unlock Shoreside
You need to deliver 16 cars (these are all found parked in Shoreside Vale except where noted; otherwise, most can be found in traffic).
Reward: $200,000 and the ability to import any of the cars on this garage's list
===========================================================
Payphone: D-Ice
Location: Ringing payphone in lower Wichita Gardens.
1. Uzi Money
Drive around and shoot 20 Nines (purple jackets, not red). Be careful when Hoods Rumpo XLs are around; they'll come after you if they see you shooting their men.
Reward: $10,000
2. Toyminator
If you've done an RC Toyz mission yet, you'll know exactly how this plays out. Get in the marked van and destoy each of the three targets by detonating (pressing Circle) your RC car by them. The catch is that you're limited to only four RC cars, affording you only one mistake. The game warns you about staying in range, but I think as long as you don't leave Staunton you should be fine.
Reward: $10,000
3. Rigged to Blow
Get into D-Ice's car just north of your safehouse and drive it quickly (under 6 minutes) but carefully to the marked garage in St.
Reward: $20,000
4. Bullion Run
Some platinum has been dropped all over Pike Creek.
Reward: $25,000
5. Rumble
Full health and armor is recommended here. First pick up D-Ice's brother at your safehouse, then head back down to lower Wichita, to the northeast corner road and take the dirt path to the camping area to fight. No weapons or running people over or you'll fail the mission. Bats only. Just go in there and swing away.
Reward: $10,000

I strongly recommend maxing out your health and armor before beginning any rampage. Also try to avoid triggering them when a cop is nearby. It'll only make it that much more difficult to survive. Any bounty you gain during a rampage will disappear when you complete it, but stick when you fail.
Reward:
- $5,000 for 1st rampage, plus $5,000 more added to each one (order doesn't matter; cumulative from Portland rampages)
- $1,000,000 for completing all rampages

RC Toyz: Rumpo Rampage
Location: Wichita Gardens, RC Toyz van behind the Zip and McAdam billboards at the bottom of the S-road.
Reward: $1,000 for each car destroyed

Unique Stunt Jumps
